“I think the reason why twentysomethings are so fixated on age is because we feel a pressure to be a certain way at 23, at 25, at 29. There are all of these invisible deadlines with our careers and with love and drinking and drugs. I can’t do coke at 25. I need to be in a LTR at 27. I can’t vomit from drinking at 26. I just can’t! We feel so much guilt for essentially acting our age and making mistakes. We’re obsessed with this idea of being domesticated and having our shit together. It’s kind of sad actually because I don’t think we ever fully get a chance to enjoy our youth. We’re so concerned about doing things “the right way” that we lose any sense of pleasure in doing things the wrong way. Youth may be truly wasted on the young.”

Our planned animal sanctuary/zoo and the upkeep for my Castle and of course all my family and friends, among many other things.

15: If you could be reincarnated as any animal, which would you chose and why?

Oooo this is difficult. I don’t feel I’d do well in the wild even as an animal, so something domesticated. I think cats have a pretty nice life. Sleeping and eating and skulking, and when I’m fat and grouchy it’d just be considered adorable instead of off-putting.

1: Apart from tumblr, what do you like to do in your spare time?

~~lol other things exist outside tumblr?~~ um I like to read, listen to music + Bob & Sheri, watch tv, chat on ym, organize my files + ipod (yeah I’m a wannabe librarian and organizing things appeals to me okay), stare forlornly at the guitar I can’t master, go to the movies and antique stores. I really want some kind of crafty hobby but I can’t seem to find one I’m successful at.

5: If you were given the opportunity to spend 48 hours with absolutely anyone (living or dead), who would you spend it with and what would you do?

OHMYGOD but this is a hard question. There are people I’d love to have a conversation with, but 48 hours to fill? Maybe I’d have JK Rowling and ask her all my nerdy Potter questions and pick her brain about writing in general ~~and then have her write a short novella for me to publish under my name and make millions of dollers.~~

lol so 3 different people have asked me #11, I gotta come up with something good, I’ll muse it over and answer the other question in the meantime:

I own a bunch of Beatle stuff (vinyl, magazines, posters, shirts, buttons, magnets from Rachel, books, a Christmas tree ornament from Cheri, shot glasses), thenewno2 t+shirts + autograph poster, plus some old school Hanson + No Doubt t-shirts. Back in the day I had tons of Hanson + other band posters but in my old age and multiple moves they’ve gone on to a better life.
